The ZZ Plant
Because of their sculpted leaves with their waxy sheen, ZZ Plants are often thought to be artificial! Zamioculcas zamiifolia are the easiest of easy care plants, virtually indestructible! It can take all your neglect and low light and still look amazing. In fact, much like cactus, they are better when left alone.
That said, here are a few tips that will keep your ZZ Plant in the pink:
- Bright, indirect light to low light. Direct sunlight will scorch leaves, so when you take them outside give them a shady spot.
- Overwatering will kill this plant. It can actually survive months without watering. Water only when soil has dried out. We suggest putting water in the bottom cup of your Upotic Planter once a month.
- ZZ plants can be given half strength fertilizer one to two times a year and only in the summer months.
