Just wanted to post a quick note to update you on how tall the canna lily has grown! I had to rig up some support with skewers and twine!
The lantana are doing well but the vinca were taking over. I decided to remove them, which meant refreshing the soil. I also used Solo cups in the bottom to create water reservoirs. I didn’t do much with my “sturdy boy” but the leggy lantana got pruned, big time. I put the clippings in to water — I mean, you never know, right?
I haven’t used any fertilizer. It’s just been potting mix, water, and light. I do think I’ll run the ceiling fan in the room when we go to bed, just a couple nights a week. Air circulation is important for plants!
I have a few videos for you, about what I did and why. End result, I think these Upotic Planters are doing a great job keeping my annuals alive. I mean, the holidays were busy and I wasn’t remembering to water!
